Re the loss of confidence in International Law, I think it's essential that rather than accepting this, those powers that are committed to upholding it must call out behaviour contrary to it in an objective, independent way. We need to reemphasise the founding principles of sovereignty etc which IMO China appears much more committed to than the West.
